Named after its location, on Capaccio hill facing the Paestum temples, a 37-acre area rich in history and archaeology.

Sun, rock, trees, and sea, are the four elements that recount the story of Il Cannito, two charming residences surrounded by broom and old oak trees : Il Cannito.

Not far from Paestum and the sea at Ciliento, Il Cannito comprises two ancient stone buildings, restored to their original beauty by bio-architecture : ecological materials carefully chosen to reproduce the original style of a disappearing rural civilisation.

The two characteristic abodes are immersed in Mediterranean vegetation : oak, heather, myrtle, juniper, elm - a mix of colours and fragrances that exalt the uncontaminated beauty of places loved by the Greeks and Romans.
Inside, materials and design create contemporary spaces. Outside, there are archaeological traces of 7th to 12th century monks with Greek-Oriental rites.

Immediately upon arriving, you sense a hospitable, comfortable environment : beams, terra cotta floors and visible stones, create an atmosphere suspended between memory and avant-garde comfort.
